Witnessing The Thought-Made Self
Live as a WITNESS not a SKETCH- You don’t need to “be more aware” - you need to stop mistaking the sketch for the one who’s seeing
Most people think transformation means building a stronger self - like polishing a character until it finally feels solid. Then they try mindfulness as if it’s a tool for improving the same old driver. But the moment you do that, you’re back inside the same trick: thoughts rearranging an illusory “me” and calling it progress.
Here’s the cost: you keep negotiating with the sketch. You argue with the avatar. You try to correct it, motivate it, punish it, educate it - anything except notice that it’s made of thought. Meanwhile the real seeing is right there, quiet and unforced, like the screen that never needs to “become” the movie. You’re not missing awareness. You’re missing the difference between awareness and what awareness is showing you.
